“It is a very peaceful environment. Walking the property offers opportunities for quiet reflection , as does simply sitting on the porch overlooking the river.”

“The unit was more than I expected. The cabin was furnished with comfortable seating indoors, a full kitchen, TV, comfortable bed, clean bathroom with a hot shower, and more. I will definitely be booking this place again for another getaway.”

“This is an amazing property and unique experience. It is “off the grid” in a sense, but had everything we needed and was clean. Friendly staff and very cool antique decor. Definitely recommend!”

“Very cute & cozy, great place to stay for anybody looking to explore the hiking trails in the area”

“Really great spot, great use of space. Cozy. A lot little extras made our time even better.”

“Definitely will come back A+++ . Hot tub was perfect but definitely needs a umbrella for day time soaks. Shawnee is a beautiful place to relax with Nature.”

“This was our second time staying here and we love it! It is so peaceful, and the host and staff are absolutely excellent! They make sure that everything is exactly as it should be! Like I said, we love it here and look forward to coming back!”

“Hosts were very nice and attentive. We’re going to stay here again—an underrated property and location. I have a lot of great pics to share. ”

“San Damiano was a very nice retreat. We could tell the staff does everything possible to be responsive and ensure a good stay. The room was very clean, comfortable beds and pillows and just the right size. The fridge, microwave and stove are all new and we had all the utensils we needed. Good fireplace. The back area is very scenic. But be CAREFUL. Remember the back is a cliff. Our dog leaped off the cliff chasing a squirrel and plummeted about 200 feet. He's alive but in bad shape. The……

“Great little getaway! If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing weekend this is definitely it. Pictures don’t do this place justice, and everything is extremely well taken care of and maintained. Make sure to bring your fishing pole and swimming gear, the clean pond is ideal for both. Traveled here with my wife and our two boys, 10yo and 5mo, and it was just right for us. We’ll be back, thanks for an amazing stay!”

“Everything was great! We will definitely be returning.”

“Property was misrepresented. Was supposed to be 2 bedroom 2 bath handicapped accessible with ramp. They assigned us a one room 2 bed no ramp not handicapped accessible. We called after arrival then the host did not respond to 2 phone calls and a text message. When they finally got back to us they said they were sorry they assigned the wrong cabin to us. I asked for full refund called VRBO and asked for help with this. Now Verbo wants us to fight for our refund instead of just taking care of it.”

“Great river views. Nice and quiet.”

“Great place to stay before dropping my daughter off at camp! There was a restaurant three doors down with live music and good food that was icing on the cake.”

“Great time with grandkids”

“Everything was good. But the upstairs bedroom one TV was not connected to the internet also some light didn’t have light bulbs. Otherwise it was very nice ”

“We had a lovely relaxing trip. Our main focus was hiking but due to a heatwave we had to switch to early morning walks and more relaxing. It was cooler in the evening and the hot tub was the perfect place to star gaze. The screened in porch was great for breakfast. Space is limited for gourmet meals but simple meals are very doable. The listing does note the bed is in the loft and you have to climb to it. This is true, but I’m a mobile 50 year old and was able to do it easily. My only negative……
